Saturday Afternoon: 7th Annual Outer Banks Gay Pride Festival and Miss Outer Banks Pride Talent Competition
This family-friendly LGBTQ festival, hosted by the fabulous Jennifer Warner is the main event on Saturday, September 23rd. This FREE afternoon of concert bands, vendors and entertainers is located on the beautiful historic Manteo Waterfront at Creef Park next to the Roanoke Island Maritime Museum. Between bands we will have a talent competition with contestants performing for the new title of “Miss Outer Banks Pride”. The talent competition is NOT a beauty pageant and is open only to up and coming talent who are NOT title holders. No professional drag performers please. Stage will be next to the boardwalk with the Roanoke Marshes Light behind.
The Outer Banks LGBTQ Pride festival will also feature the official pridefest souvenir t-shirts, local arts & crafts, nonprofits and souvenir vendors, local restaurant foods and raffles! Beer and wine and soft drinks will be sold by local Manteo waterfront restaurants. All sales will begin at 12:00 noon. Please see our recommendations on the “Where to Stay” page.
