This FREE, family-friendly, LGBTQ+ Pride festival is our main event on Saturday afternoon from 12 – 6 PM at Roanoke Island Festival Park. Enjoy live bands, king and queen drag performers, food vendors, craft and souvenir vendors, kids corner with face painting, games, beer, wine and more at a Free family-friendly Pride festival at Roanoke Island Festival Park in Manteo.
*Please note: No coolers are allowed and alcohol cannot be carried out. Please bring cash or a card and support our local food vendors and artisans! You must bring a photo ID to drink alcohol.

The Outer Banks LGBTQ Pride festival will also feature local arts & crafts, nonprofits, and souvenir vendors, local restaurant food vendors and beer available for purchase. Our restaurant vendors will offer a variety of Outer Banks specialties. Please see our lodging recommendations on the Where to Stay page.
Apply to become a vendor or sign up as a volunteer for our event.
Only service animals are allowed. The Festival will go on rain or shine and storms usually pass quickly.

Roy Fahrenheit
In the ’80s, Roy Fahrenheit was just a sleazy, part-time valet taking joy rides in rich people’s cars while lip syncing to Queen- until one night, he went above 88 miles per hour in a 1981 DeLorean and… You can see where this is going, the next thing he knew he was in the year 2019! He liked it in the future so much, he decided to stay and pursue his dream of becoming a sickening entertainer.
He is Mr. Pride Winston-Salem 2024, and the king of Queeraoke at Hel’s every Wednesday night— if you wanna have a good time, just give him a call!

Hailing from Durham, North Carolina, Emily Musolino has been crafting a unique soulful sound for nearly two decades. Heavily influenced by powerhouse vocalists like Etta James and guitarists like Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan, Emily’s music is a dynamic mix of blues and shredding rock guitar with hints of classic outlaw country.
Growing up LGBT in the southeast, Musolino finds an emotional outlet by writing raw, vulnerable stories in her songs with strong queer and feminist messaging. Studio owner, producer, singer-songwriter, Berklee graduate – Emily Musolino is a unique musical talent that fits in no bounded box and brings an energetic excitement to every crowd, stage, and venue that experiences her performances.
Sass
Sara “Sass” Siders, is a singer/songwriter based out of central Illinois. Sass’ sound mixes elements of blues, rock, country, hip-hop, R&B, and soul, creating a unique style all her own. Add in that raspy, sultry voice and one-of-a-kind covers, she’s guaranteed to leave you speechless and wanting more.

Not Those Girls
Not Those Girls is not your average cover band. Aside from boasting an ethnically diverse, all-female, full band lineup, this band separates themselves from the rest with their eclectic, crowd pleasing set list. These ladies have been known to play hit songs from Alanis Morissette to Lizzo to Nirvana and everything in between. Some cover songs are even transformed into their own original arrangements and mash-ups to keep things interesting.
What can you expect at a Not Those Girls show? Guitarist and vocalist, Christina Malubag, switches between the essential roles of both rhythm and lead guitar while singing her fair share of pop/punk hits to the delight of our 90’s loving fans. Guitarist and vocalist, Carrie Ryan, brings decades of vocal chops, guitar mastery and overall musicianship along with her love for classic rock n’ roll. Bassist and vocalist, Cindy DeJesus, provides a unique mix of pop/rock lead and backing vocals while thumping the low end with over 10 years of stage experience. Drummer, Roberta Lucas, rounds out the line up with her technical precision, in-the-pocket timing, and energy inspired drum beats to keep the rhythm section right and tight. Not Those Girls is constantly looking for new opportunities to perform for the community. “So, if you’re looking for a group of girls to just be eye candy and play the same tired cover songs, we are Not Those Girls…we’re better.”

The Storyweavers
The evolution of The Storyweavers has been an exciting one. This group of women bring all original music with Amy Ferebee and Cat Sprague on guitar, Beth Whyle on bass, Jennifer McLaughlin Performance Artist, Annie James as our ASL Interpreter, Robert Gibson & Cheryl Askew on drums/ Guitar and Sheela Fortner Singer/Lyricist. The Storyweavers have become just as intended, with storytelling before the song that conjured the song to be played, thus the name The Storyweavers. With their first album, Fallen Sparrow and a second just released, RE-EVOLUTION.
